How much does NeatBeans cost?
Your first 30 days are free, with no card needed. After that, NeatBeans costs £19.99 a month per company, including VAT. All current bookkeeping features are included.
Is the price per company or per account?
It is per company. One company costs £19.99 a month including VAT; two cost £39.98. Each company you add starts its own 30-day free trial, and you manage their subscriptions together in Billing.
What can I do during the trial?
Work with the available bookkeeping tools for 30 days without adding a payment card. The getting-started checklist helps you add a customer, issue an invoice, record an expense, import a statement and add your logo. Complete your accounting setup before continuing on a paid plan.
What happens after the free trial?
Choose a monthly subscription for each company you want to keep working on. You will need to complete and lock that companies accounting setup to continue on a paid plan. Without a subscription, the company becomes read-only; starting the trial does not ask you for a payment card.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. To cancel a companies subscription is to be done in Billing. Unless a refund ends the subscription earlier, you keep full access until the end of the paid period, then that company becomes read-only. You can download your records before you leave. Cancellation does not automatically request a refund.
How do I request a refund?
NeatBeans offers a full refund of any subscription payment requested within 14 days of payment, including renewals. No reason is required. Request your refund at paddle.net or through the support link in your Paddle receipt. Your statutory rights are unaffected. See our refund policy for the steps and processing details.
Will I need to pay to unlock more bookkeeping tools?
The monthly plan includes all current bookkeeping features. There are no paid feature tiers to work through. Features being tested may have separate availability; they are not a promise of live filing or a replacement for your accountant.
Who is NeatBeans designed for?
NeatBeans is built for UK limited companies that want to keep their sales, spending and company records organised. It works alongside your accountant, with reports to help you review your figures together. If you need payroll processing, automatic bank feeds or live tax filing in the same tool, check those requirements before you start.
How do I move my records from another product?
Set up your company, customers, suppliers and bank accounts, then upload bank statements in CSV format. Keep exports from your previous product for your historical records. There is no one-click migration of a complete accounting history.
Can I create quotes and recurring invoices?
Yes. Create branded quotes and invoices, track their status and set daily, weekly, monthly or yearly recurring schedules. Recurring drafts are generated while the application is open. Invoice payments are recorded, not collected automatically.
Can I keep receipts with my expenses?
Yes. Attach receipt photos to expenses and organise spending by supplier. Purchase orders are optional. If you enable them in settings, new and edited expenses must link to an eligible purchase order for the same supplier.
Can I use more than one bank account?
Yes. Add multiple bank accounts, upload CSV statements and enter transactions manually for each account. Automatic bank feeds are not included.
Which reports can I view?
View Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, draft Final Accounts, Aged Debtors and Aged Creditors, Capital Assets, Dividend Vouchers and Spending Categories. Reports use your recorded data. Management Profit & Loss uses cash-basis figures, and draft accounts should be reviewed with your accountant.
Does this include payroll or live tax filing?
NeatBeans helps you organise bookkeeping records, VAT summaries and tax estimates. It does not run payroll or submit company accounts, Corporation Tax returns or personal tax returns. The HMRC VAT connection is currently in testing; sandbox submissions do not file your VAT with HMRC. Arrange live filing separately with your accountant or an appropriate filing service.
Where are my records and receipts saved?
Company records and receipt attachments are saved to your account in the cloud, so you can access them when signed in on your laptop or phone. You can download a company backup and export reports for your records.
Can I use it on my phone, and does it replace my accountant?
The application adapts to mobile screens so you can work with your records on a phone. It helps with bookkeeping; an accountant can still help review your accounts, tax position and filing requirements. NeatBeans does not run payroll.
